I took some much better pictures of this doll so I decided to resubmit her and move the other one to scraps.
The Tree Wife is a guardian of the forest who provides shelter for even the smallest creatures of the wood. She is a mixed media doll with an upper body of fabric and a lower body of curly willow. Her dress is made from collage fabric that I created specifically for this doll with layers of beautiful fibers and metallic embroidery. She also has extensive beading on her arm, neckline and face and holds a small bird on her outstretched hand. Detail here [link] |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
